Don Dueck's Dice Collection

30-sided Die [rhombic triacontahedron]
d30 d30 I have several d30s. It would be interesting to see an RPG based on a d30 instead of the standard d20, but it's unlikely since they're not so common.

7-sided Die
d7 d7 These are odd dice in that not all the faces are the same with respect to size and orientation to one another. The 7 and the 6 are on the flat sides whereas the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 lie on each of the edges of the pentagon. These dice are weighted so that each number comes up, more or less, randomly. I have two different 'styles' of d7s, which were probably made by different companies.

16-sided Die [triangular dihedron]
d16 I've only seen two d16s in my life. This particular one is brown (I traded it away), while my remaining one is a brilliant transparent yellow (I found it in Calgary, AB).

Ancient Roman Die
Ancient Roman Die This is an ancient Roman die made out of bone (not wood) and is dated at around 100 to 300 AD, according to its certificate of authenticity. I traded a whole bunch of dice to a guy name Guilio Ferrari in Italy for it (he bought it at Phoenicia Holyland Antiquities in New York City). This is what they used when they 'cast lots' in the old days. Had it been a mere 60 or so years older I could at least imagine that it may have one of the dice cast by the Roman soldiers who divvied up Jesus' stuff before He was crucified (Luke 23:43). This image is double the size of the actual die (it's pretty small).

34-sided Dice (Danish Lottery Dice)
d34 This is the only d34 I've ever seen (needless to say, I bought it up instantly). Apparently it's used to randomly determine numbers for lotteries in Denmark. It looks like a mutated d8 or d10 (you can only see one half in this picture because of the angle).

100-sided Die
d100 d100 d100
This is not really a dice with 100 sides. It's a sphere with numbers written all over it which is encased in a plastic shell with round 'sides' molded into it. It's hollow and filled with small bits of something or other which help it come to a stop when you roll it (since it's so round). It's pretty cool to use, but 2d10s are faster. They don't make these anymore, but I hear that there's another kind of d100 (a solid plastic one?)...
